Many Adat members evacuated their homes on January 23rd, due to the Gilman Fire.  Thanks to the amazing efforts of our courageous local firefighters and police officers, no homes were lost, no one was hurt, and our synagogue and our Torahs are intact.  We all know it could have turned out differently, G-d forbid.  

We are organizing donations to the San Diego Firefighters Local 115 and the San Diego Police Officers Association, both of whom run non-profit foundations to help widows and children of fallen officers, burn victims, etc. If you would like to participate (at any level), please make a donation to Adat by February 6th, marked for “Fire/Police Donation.”    The Rabbi will personally deliver our donations, and express our appreciation.
